Arthur Waldeck papers related to Heinrich Schenker
Arthur Waldeck (1899-1965) was a New York-based voice teacher. The collection consists of Waldeck's letters to and from renowned music theorist Heinrich Schenker (1868-1935), as well as Waldeck's translations into English and heavily annotated copies of Schenker's works, written and published in German.
Barrie Karp papers
Barrie Karp was a professor of philosophy, psychology, feminist theory, and critical race theory at The New School for twenty-five years (circa 1983-2008). These papers document her teaching career with syllabi, course notes, and student work. Also included in the collection is a small amount of correspondence with colleagues and materials related to courses Karp taught at other universities.

Interior decorator Bruce Buttfield (1897-1969) made his mark in the 1930s by creating distinctive furniture and rooms. In 1931, he designed the interior of the original Whitney Museum building on Eighth Street in New York City. The collection includes photographs and color renderings of Buttfield interiors.
